Hello! I am Laksh Bhambhani, a junior at Homestead High School in Cupertino, CA and a member of the Inspirit AI Ambassadors Program. I have been passionate about programming, robotics and artificial intelligence since childhood. While I had some basic knowledge of AI models and applications before, it was through the Inspirit AI Program that I was able to advance those skills and apply it to various applications such as FRC (FIRST Robotics Competition) robots or humanoids. Apart from AI, I love visiting different places, going hiking, and unicycling.

My first real exposure to the basic theory behind AI was with Inspirit AI and my experience with them has been wonderful and extremely informative. We learnt foundational AI principles through hands-on notebooks, and that really helped me develop a solid base. With instructor Sophia Barton, our cohort went over topics such as NLP (Natural Language Processing), CV (Computer Vision), CNNs (Convolutional Neural Network), and a project on BERT. Through the project, we were able to understand the processes behind many of the AI models used today by personal assistants.

It is fascinating to see how our world is influenced by Artificial Intelligence and is being revolutionized through technologies/machines smarter than humans. As an Inspirit AI Ambassador, I would like to share a project with you based on AI and robotics in a three-part mini-series. The series will focus on giving robots some of the primary senses such as sight (or vision) and hearing (or audition) similar to the primary senses of an infant.
